What is GRS Certification?

GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard and is developed and managed by the international non-profit organization Textile Exchange. It is a comprehensive international certification covering recycled material content, chain of custody, environmental practices, social responsibility, and chemical restrictions.

GRS certification addresses a core question: Is the "recycled material" in the product genuine? Is the source traceable? Is the production process responsible?

To obtain GRS certification, a product must contain at least 20% recycled material; to use the GRS label, the recycled content typically must exceed 50%. All certified products must undergo third-party audits and utilize Transaction Certificates (TCs) to ensure full traceability from raw materials to finished goods.
